A lonely Sue is texting Frankie at all hours because her dorm roommate still hasn't arrived on campus. Mike insists Frankie has to cut the cord with Sue, but when she does, Sue just starts texting Mike instead.

Meanwhile, Brick learns he has a protector at school, but gets a little creeped out when the boy starts following him around; and Axl and Hutch deal with a rash of ants in their apartment.

Brick is glad his siblings are home so they can help him with chores and asks for Axl's help with his new desire -- being allowed to walk home alone from the library at night.

Mike is mopey and upset but doesn't say why, so Frankie calls Reverend TimTom hoping he'll find out what is worrying Mike.

It turns out Mike can't cope with Frankie turning 50, taking it as a sign they are both getting close to death. Sue organizes a tour of the East Indiana State campus for Brick.

While walking Brick around, she meets Logan, whom she hasn't seen since prom. Logan asks her out, so Sue tells Brick to go to the library and wait for her, but of course she later loses him.

Meanwhile, Frankie becomes irritated at Mike after he "shushes" her when she interrupts Bill Norwood's story multiple times.

Elsewhere, Axl and Sean reminisce about their first kisses; Sue reconnects with Logan, who says he's thinking of becoming a priest; and the photos that Sue accidentally deleted from the computer on Christmas Eve return, giving everyone some perspective.
